Quality food and drink producers sought to be a part of summer festival

The tasty end of summer treat is set to return and will take place in venues and streets across Lichfield City centre on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 August 2016.

The popular free-entry Lichfield Food Festival will showcase top chefs from across the region, a huge array of specialist food and drink, entertainment a baking competition, a brewers event and more.

Cocker-hoop Creative will be organising the Food Festival Market, and the city centre streets are set to be packed once more with food and drink stalls from specialist producers, including a wide range of street food.

The application process for traders to be a part of this year’s festival has opened, and stall holders are being encouraged to apply in March to take advantage of the early bird booking offer.

This year the organising committee is being headed up by the Lichfield BID Manager, Morag Pringle. Of this year’s festival, Morag commented:

“Every year Lichfield Food Festival grows and grows and Lichfield BID is delighted to be involved in such a key event in Lichfield’s social calendar.

“The event has such a massive impact on the city, attracting thousands of visitors from across the region, putting us on the foodie map and allowing us to showcase all that our city has to offer, from its restaurants, bars and shops to its heritage attractions and parks.”
